Don’t Ask Why NY x American Eagle | Edgy Sweater Weather

You don’t have to ask a girl twice: the worst part about shopping for clothes (especially for us ladies), is figuring out what size to get. Because there’s no standard sizing system around the world, or even the country, you can be a size 2 at one store and an 8 at another, which is unbelievably *mind boggling*. But thanks to brands like Don’t Ask Why NY sold at American Eagle, you can say adios to the most irritating guessing game on the planet!

On Tuesday, I revealed my first look by Don’t Ask Why, which I think you guys reallyyy liked (I mean, how fun was that peek-a-boo back detailing?!). So today, I’m so stoked to show you a new fall look: something that’s channeling some serious rocker-chick, edgy-gal-in-New-York vibes — and I’m kind of about it.

This cutout sweater/mauvy purple slip dress combo is perfect for days when pants just won’t do (like for days when I do am workouts) and for Iowa’s transitional fall weather days. The back cutouts in this sweater give you some unexpected, but much needed ventilation when the afternoon gets a little toasty.

I have to admit, I probs wouldn’t have picked out this sweater myself, but thanks Don’t Ask Why NY for showing me what I truly needed in my life. I know this grey pullover is going to my new BFF to pair with summer dresses. Hello, updated fall wardrobe options (without spending another penny!)

Welcome to the new grunge-chic Tamara! As the weather keeps cooling down, you’ll be seeing a lot more of the gunmetal Kendra Scott and these knockout Vince Camuto booties. Talk about eye candy.

So allow me to introduce you to my newest fall friends: this ladder-back sweater and slip dress. Good luck, because it’s going to be very hard to resist. Side note: I wear this dress so often I forget to iron it, but that makes me look cool right? 🙂
