Spring officially kicked off Saturday night with Phoenix Fashion Week’s Spring into Fashion styling show at the Arizona Center and continued with my spring styling segment on Your Life A to Z on Tuesday! I received so many free beauty products from the blogger lounge that my room looks like a beauty closet-YAY! And I can’t stop thinking about the cheery clothes I styled on my segment.
As if I wasn’t already pumped for Spring into Style, this was my best friend’s first fashion show. Welcome to my world Chloe!
At Spring into Style, six Arizona stylists put together a spring trend show and they offered up some serious variety. Here was each stylist’s assignment: Vanessa Gonzales, neutrals; Audree Lopez, florals; Nuvia Magdahi, denim; Tim Boado, distinct prints for men; Jackie Marin, bold; Jenesis Laforcarde, boho. Audree’s was definitely my favorite, and not just because I know her! Instead of styling traditional tea party florals, she opted for an Alexander McQueen-esque show, featuring grunge looks, lots of black and enough attitude to last for days. Two little girls opened the show gently tossing black flower petals in the air, as if they were flower girls. Phoenix Fashion Week always delivers top notch theatrics…and a few other things!
I’m not going to lie, one of the best parts of being a blogger is opening the magical swag bag. I came home with Boots Beauty lip glosses and mascara, Mark Hill hairspray and Bumble and Bumble haircare. Although, I also went home with something I didn’t want-aching feet. Pro-tip, heels are totally not worth it. Wear comfortable shoes at fashion shows because no one really judges you.
Sunday I took it easy and now my tootsies are A-OK. I had to rest up for more Spring fun this week!
Today it was my turn to style!
I, also known as the Glam Guru, taped my spring fashion segment on Channel 3’s Your Life A to Z this morning. This was the second time Glimpse of Manhattan provided the clothes for me and the clothes get better each time.
I met the owner Jaye almost a year ago, whose store sells xs to 3x clothing so that all women can feel beautiful. Her mom died from an eating disorder at 51, so she uses the store to empower women. I’m all for supporting women with a mission!
I styled 6 looks: three rompers (one outfit was actually a shorts/crop top combo) and three dresses. I was all about the floppy hats and statement necklaces Jaye brought to complete the looks. Perfect for Coachella, an outdoor wedding or a day shopping, these spring looks are the must-haves of the season! Thank you SO much Jaye, you’re truly a superstar and I’m so glad we’ve partnered together! I’ll post the video segment once it’s up online.
